Sale to SEZs [Excise for Manufacturer] in Tally.ERP 9

To account sale made to units from Special Economic Zones, use one of the following Natures of Removal:

  • SEZ/Bond

  • SEZ/Rebate

The first two options are used for recording sales made without charging duty. The third option is used for recording sale made by charging duty. If a manufacturer makes a sale to a unit located in SEZ then the transaction is treated as exports except for the requirement that the manufacturer need not issue a Commercial Invoice in foreign currency

Example: On 8-4-2013, ABC Company sold 500 nos. of Jute Bags to Indian Jute Ltd., an SEZ unit. Sales invoice needs to be recorded for the same.

Step 1: Create the SEZ buyer's  Ledger
